Pupils and staff across Greenwood Academies Trust (GAT) are marking a fantastic A-Level Results Day, with delighted pupils receiving their results this morning. These accomplishments, which have seen pupils secure places in higher education, jobs, and apprenticeships, are a testament to their hard work and dedication. Today is all about celebrating the success of our incredible pupils.

While there are countless individual success stories across our academies, we are excited to highlight just a few examples. 

Nottingham Academy

  • Samuel who achieved an A in history, a Distinction in health and social care and a Distinction in information technology. He has secured a place to study cyber security at Nottingham Trent University.

  • Aleeza who opened her results to find she earned an A in criminology, B in biology and a B in chemistry. Aleeza has secured a place to study biomedical sciences at UCL, London.

  • Kenza who is celebrating a B in history, B in criminology and a B in sociology. She has secured a place to study English with secondary education at Nottingham Trent University.

  • Oakley who secured a place on the GB Elite Athlete Scholarship Programme preparing for 2028 Olympic in Los Angeles to represent Great Britain in Taekwondo.

  • Kevin who secured a full scholarship at Rhode Island University at South Kingston, America. Kevin will be playing basketball at an elite level.

 

Kingswood Secondary Academy

  • Eamonn who achieved two A*s in geography and maths and a Distinction* in business. Eamon has secured his first-place choice to study economics at the University of Nottingham.
  • Brendan who received two As in geography and maths and a B in physics. Brendan has secured his first-place choice to study economics at University of York.
  • Kayleigh who is celebrating an A in maths and two Bs in biology and chemistry. Kayleigh has secured her first-placed choice to study bio-medical science at University of Sheffield.
     
  • Anya who deservedly obtained three As in biology, chemistry and physical education. Anya has secured her first-placed choice to study veterinary medicine at Royal Veterinary College, London.
  • David who successfully achieved an A* in sociology and two Bs in English literature and psychology. David secured his first-placed choice to study law at University of Nottingham.

Nottingham Girls' Academy

  • Elizabeth who achieved an A* in sociology, an A* in politics and an A in history. She is heading to the University of Nottingham to read international media and communications studies.

  • Marwa who is celebrating a Distinction* in applied human biology, a Distinction* in health and social care and an A in criminology. Her next chapter will unfold at the University of Nottingham where she will study midwifery.
  • Aseel who has earned an A in psychology, a B in biology and a B in chemistry. Aseel intends to study biomedical sciences and is assessing her options.
     

Skegness Academy

  • Meda who has achieved a Distinction* Distinction* OCR Diploma in sport and physical activity, a Distinction* in BTEC extended certificate in applied science and an A in LIBF level 3 certificate in financial studies. Meda is now undertaking a degree in physiotherapy at the University of Nottingham.

  • Isabel who successfully received a Distinction* Distinction in BTEC Diploma in art and design, a B in A-Level English literature and language and an A LIBF level 3 certificate in financial studies. Isabel is now undertaking a degree in creative writing at Aberystwyth University.
     
  • Sophie who earned a Distinction* Distinction in OCR Diploma in sport and physical activity and a Distinction* in BTEC extended certificate in applied law. Sophie is now undertaking a degree in business management and accounting and finance at Nottingham Trent University.

  • George who successfully achieved a Distinction Merit in BTEC Diploma in art and design, a Pass in OCR Diploma in sport and physical activity and a D in LIBF level 3 certificate in financial studies. George is now undertaking a degree in architecture at the University of Lincoln.
     
  • Tyler who successfully achieved a Merit Merit in OCR Diploma in sport and physical activity and a Distinction in BTEC extended certificate in applied law. Tyler is now undertaking a degree in sport and exercise therapy at the University of Lincoln.

  • Lyndsey who celebrates a Distinction Merit in BTEC Diploma in children's play, learning and development, and a Distinction in OCR extended certificate in health and social care. Lyndsey is now undertaking a degree in early childhood education in practice at Bishop Grosseteste University.

Stanground Academy

  • Alex successfully achieved 3 A*s in mathematics, further maths and physics, an A in chemistry and a Distinction in his mathematics AEA exam. Alex will continue to study mathematics at university. 


     
  • Nidia gained her triple Distinction* in sports extended diploma. She will continue studying her love of sport at university.

  • Noah successfully achieved his Distinction* in performing arts, an A* in mathematics and 2 As in further mathematics and chemistry. He has secured a place at both UCL and Kings College London University – he will be making his decision in the upcoming days! 
     
  • Dilshad successfully achieved his Distinction* in business studies and sport. He also successfully achieved a B in his LIBF finance exam. He will be taking up his place at University of Leicester studying finance and business. 
     
  • Kieran achieved a B in finance, a Distinction in business and a Distinction* in sport. He is in the process of securing a degree apprenticeship position with a local firm. 
     
  • Nathan achieved a B in finance, a Distinction* in both business and sport. He too has successfully secured an apprenticeship position with a local firm. 
     

The Brunts Academy

  • Owen who successfully achieved an outstanding four A*s in chemistry, physics, maths and further maths. Owen has secured an apprenticeship degree with a national employer in engineering.

  • Edward who achieved three A*s in chemistry, physics and maths. Edward has secured his place to study music, multimedia and electronics at the University of Leeds.

  • Izabela who is celebrating her A grade in finance, B grades in Polish and maths and a C grade in art. Izabela has secured her place to study fine art at Sheffield University.

  • Lyla who secured an A grade in sociology, a B grade in psychology and a C grade in philosophy. Lyla has secured a degree law apprenticeship with Browne & Jacobson, Solicitors.
     
  • Dawid who earned an A* grade in maths; B grades in further maths, computer science and physics. Dawid has secured his place to study computer science at the University of Aberdeen.
     

Weston Favell Academy

  • Casper who achieved an outstanding set of results with an A* in product design, an A in maths and D* D* in BTEC national sports coaching and development, through Brighter Futures. Casper has secured his place to study product design and development at Loughborough University.

  • Anik who successfully achieved an A* in finance, a Distinction in business and a B in history, and is progressing to study finance at the University of Northampton.
     
  • Danny who achieved an A in history, a Distinction in business, and a B in English language. He is taking a gap year to travel, work and write before going to university.

  • Alfie who commendably achieved an A in mathematics, and A in computer science and a B in physics, and is going to study mechanical engineering at the University of Birmingham.

 

These successes are just a snapshot of the achievements across Greenwood Academies Trust. Every pupil has worked incredibly hard, and today’s results reflect their commitment and perseverance.
